The following steps explain how to get started.

1) Opening a Business Account is fast and simple. Just go to https://www.paypal.com/signbiz or copy and paste the link into the address bar. Complete our simple registration process - your account will be up and running in less than five minutes

2) To add and verify your bank account to your PayPal account, please follow these steps:

  1. Click https://www.paypal.com/BA or copy and paste the entire link into the address bar
  2. If you already have a bank account added, click 'Add'
  3. Under 'Add Bank Account', enter the bank account information
    • . Enter the name of the bank

    • . Select whether it is a checking or savings account

    • . Enter routing number. Please note: a savings account routing number may be different than the checking account routing number
    • . You may wish to verify the routing number with your banks customer service department. Enter and retype account number
  4. Click 'Add Bank Account'

After your bank account is added, PayPal will send two random deposits between $0.01 and $0.99 to your bank account. These deposits will be at PayPal's expense and will arrive in your bank account within 2 to 4 business days. To confirm your bank account, find out the amounts of these two deposits. (Call your bank's customer service number to ask about the deposits, or check your bank statement online.)

When you know the amounts of the deposits, click https://www.paypal.com/BA-CONFIRM or copy and paste the entire link into the address bar. Enter the two amounts and click 'Submit'. If the amounts are correct, your bank account will be confirmed.

Some financial institutions do not accept electronic funds transfers; check with your institution prior to registering your bank account with PayPal. Some credit unions and brokerage accounts do not accept such transfers.
